Robert works in
watercolor. Images have been
commissioned for all stages of design presentation, capital campaigns, planning
approvals, and promotion for clients including architects, corporate identity
firms, developers, entertainment companies, interior designers, law firms,
non-profit organizations, real estate offices, retailers, and urban planners. Robert's images have been published in Orion
Magazine, The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, Imobilier,
Unique Homes, Architectural Digest, and brochures, in numerous local newspapers
and on the World Wide Web.
Robert recently served
on the Design Review Commission for the City of Walnut Creek, CA for five
years. In conjunction with DRC,
Robert also served on the Steering Committee for the 2025 General Plan Update
for Walnut Creek.
Lunchtime Watercolor
is a seminar Robert has started with great success for his clients. Robert is a member of the American
Society of Architectural Illustrators, the Graphic Artists Guild, an Artist
member of the North East Watercolor Society, the New York Society of Renderers,
and the Society of Architectural Illustrators, UK.
In addition to working
out of his studio, Robert also works in client’s offices, giving the design
team direct access from viewing sketches, color studies and the final
watercolors in progress making the image process truly collaborative.
Since November 1995,
Robert has been located in the San Francisco Bay area, working for an
international clientele. Robert's

Previously, Robert has
worked at Schaller Architectural Illustration (SAI), the New York City office
of Tom Schaller AIA. Robert has
been given an acknowledgment credit for his assistance in Thomas W. Schallers'
books Architecture In Watercolor, and The Art of Architectural Drawing.
Robert has been a
professional in the field of architectural illustration since 1986. He received a BA, in Art with a minor
in Architecture from Roger Williams College in Bristol, RI. He has also studied at the Rhode Island
School of Design as well as under Paul Stevenson Oles at the Harvard University
Graduate School of Design.
