Project Description
The 3d photorealistic renderings for the Golden Gate Flyer project were produced to help show off the design intent by designer John Proctor of Techne + Logos.
At 700 feet, this will indeed be the world’s tallest observation wheel. A flight in one of the 36 luxurious state-of-the-art and climate controlled capsules will offer one of the most spectacular views on the planet; encompassing not only the San Francisco skyline and both the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, but a glorious, 360-degree panoramic view of the entire Bay Area.
This is a project of the Golden Gate Foundation a federally approved 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation set up to raise money to help support the construction of affordable, below market rate, and low income housing in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The 3d architectural photorealistic renderings by my studio Digital Frontier was amazing. This project is still in the conceptual phase and many design details are yet to be ironed out. Great photography by Eric Sahlin was used for the distant photomontage images looking towards and from San Francisco.
